Alethea “Ale” A.K. Akau Cabral Silva, 70, of Kaneohe, Oahu, died Oct. 28, 2012, at Solari Hospice care in Las Vegas. Born Nov. 9, 1941, in Kawaihae, she was a retired waitress from Flamingo’s restaurant, Tiki Tops and Hungry Lion’s.

Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Dec. 28, at 45-396 Mokulele Drive Parkway Recreation Center in Kaneohe, Oahu, for a celebration of life. A graveside service and burial follows at 1 p.m. at Hawaii State Veteran’s Cemetery in Kaneohe. Family requests aloha attire be worn. Flowers are welcome.

She is survived by husband, Vincent Silva of Las Vegas; children, Paul (Sandra) Cabral of Kailua, Oahu, Dan (Susan) Cabral of California, Ruby (Greg) Koch of Illinois, Laura (David) Rodrigues of Volcano, Athena (Kanoe) Kaluhiwa of Hauula, Jamie Silva and Keola (Leslie) Silva, both of Las Vegas; brothers Solomon (Margaret) Akau of Kaneohe, Oahu and Eli Kala Laa of San Antonio, Texas; sisters, Diane Hillen of Kawaihae, Lei (Thomas) Gomes of Kona and Sarah (Walt) Laa Bowers of New Mexico; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
